As the winter weather closes in and the gardening season draws to a close, a well-deserved breath of relaxation is due. This is an excellent time of the year to review the successes of this year’s garden and perhaps some of the less than successful endeavors. Keeping a record of your garden either by photograph, written journal or both is an excellent practice to establish. Consideration might be given to new additions, favourite perennials and of course the ever-changing exposure in the garden. As trees and larger shrubs grow, the light patterns as well as moisture availability change, sometime rather dramatically.
